Where to begin?

"Initially, you will identify an appropriate subject matter specific and individual to you that you would like to know more about." (extracted from brief)

For this brief I think I could actually consider a whole range of ideas as of course I also have a range of different likes/hobbies/interests. The brief states that this could be anything ranging from a; subject/object/area/place or event. I could either consider Graphic Design as the subject matter as this is what I am studying on the degree programme or consider researching something else which is more personal. I think it would be more interesting to consider a different subject matter and combining Graphic Design to be the overall final outcome.

Even though I have different interests I think other than artwork and creating I am incredibly passionate about animals and wildlife. I watch documentaries and tv programmes continuously and try to keep myself up to date with educational advice about wildlife and the environment. As a child I always loved horses and took part in a whole range of activities such as stable management and riding lessons (I have been to around 5 different riding schools overall). When I was around 12 years old my parents also took me to the charity HAPPA to adopt one of the horses there called Nutmeg I still have the badge to this day:

I didn't fully understand at the time why I visited the centre or what my parents money went towards. Although as I have recently revisited the centre I think it would be brilliant to research into this charity further. Before I started university I attended college and subsequently I decided to quit horse riding to make time for creating artwork however I think it will really benefit me emotionally to become more involved over the summer.

So therefore over the summer I am going to research into Horses and our interaction with them but most importantly the charity HAPPA (Horses And Ponies Protection Association) who rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses and try to educate communities.
