Cupid was born at the centre:
Mother Valentine was rescued by the centre.
Valentine, born in 2005, is a 12.2hh, bay Dartmoor mare and was brought into HAPPA in February 2010.
Valentine came to our Centre when she was found tied up on a roundabout on a busy main road. Her head collar was so tight that it had become embedded into her skin. The persons responsible for leaving her in such a dangerous location and responsible for her head collar were never traced and so she became HAPPA property.
Cupid, born in 2010, is a 14hh, light bay Dartmoor gelding and was actually born at Shores Hey Farm. Cupid was born at Shores Hey Farm when his mother “Valentine” was rescued and brought to our Centre. At the time of her rescue, she was in foal to Cupid and in view of her name; it was felt that her son should be named appropriately.

The grooms are working really hard on Cupid's progress at such a young age with backing him and slowly developing into riding. He has a forever home waiting for him but they are just waiting for him to be fully rideable as he is quite young and nervous currently.

Donkeys

Choco is 11hh brown, gelding, born 2002
Reece is 11.2hh grey, gelding born 2001
Both were brought in separately after being donated to HAPPA. Choco was neglected by a previous owner and Reece was donated due to a house move.
Choco and Reece came into the centre within months of each other and instantly formed an inseparable bond! This is why these two lovely chaps are being rehomed as a PAIR! They can be occasionally noisy, especially at feed times and would need rugging up in bad weather.
They are fantastic little characters and are looking for a home where they can just be boys and enjoy each other’s company.

They were really affectionate, loved each others company and were incredibly vocal somewhat demanding attention and food at feeding time. Great to see them have each others company and donkeys don't like to be on their own.
